Jack Dorsey tips pro-crypto candidate Robert Kennedy to win presidency

Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter and CEO of Block Inc., a fintech firm, has endorsed pro-crypto Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Dorsey shared a YouTube clip from Fox News featuring Kennedy discussing his plans to defeat popular Republican presidential candidates Ron De Santis and Donald Trump, and wrote, “He can and will.”

When asked if he was endorsing or predicting Kennedy, Dorsey replied with “both.”

Robert Kennedy is the nephew of the United States’ 35th President John F. Kennedy and the latest member of the Kennedy political dynasty to run for president. Kennedy announced his presidential campaign on April 19. He is an environmental lawyer and a vocal critic of vaccines, and is a strong supporter of cryptocurrencies.

During a keynote speech at the Bitcoin Miami Conference on May 19, Kennedy announced that he will accept donations in Bitcoin for his presidential campaign. He has referred to Bitcoin as an “innovation engine” and criticized Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as tools that can “vastly magnify the government’s power to suffocate dissent by cutting off access to funds with a keystroke.”

Kennedy has also criticized the Biden administration’s proposed tax on crypto mining, calling it “a bad idea.” According to a May 27 poll from Fox News, Kennedy commands support from 16% of Democratic primary voters, a “sizable chunk” for a primary challenger against an incumbent president.
