Crypto.com adds Pay support for MATIC, USDC and DAI

Singaporean cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com has updated its decentralized finance (DeFi) wallet service to support fiat-to-crypto purchases in more countries and three new tokens. The company announced in a blog post on May 16 that users can now purchase Polygon (MATIC), USD Coin (USDC) and Dai (DAI) via Crypto.com Pay, a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp service that allows credit or debit card purchases. CRO, BTC, and ETH are the only other tokens currently available for purchase, with more to be added soon. Crypto.com Pay is now available in 108 countries.

Crypto.com has also streamlined the Pay interface for easier purchases and, as reported previously by Cointelegraph, recently launched a virtual assistant built on the GPT API to assist customers. The exchange plans to trial the AI assistant on a pilot basis while considering user feedback. Meanwhile, other companies in the crypto and blockchain industries are also exploring AI technology, such as BlockGPT’s “chat-to-earn” scheme and Binance’s virtual educational assistant Sensei.
